Quality Control Technician

Position Details

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the quality control program to ensure continuous production of products that meet established standards and specifications.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine the current standards for materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate production procedures with the production team to maximize product reliability and consistency.
  • Conduct quality control inspections at all stages of production and delivery.
  • Perform product testing per company guidelines.
  • Maintain the calibration of quality control equipment.
  • Evaluate data and prepare reports, noting any significant deviations from existing standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality control and recommend new methods to the Operations Manager and Production Manager.
  • Communicate any quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Sales Manager.
  • Conduct daily checks of material inventory in the pit and report low quantity levels to the Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Dispatch Manager.
  • Oversee the company’s weed control program.
  • As directed by the operations manager, production manager, and sales manager, handle product sampling and shipping to independent testing laboratories.
  • Continuously seek methods to control and reduce costs.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with other personnel in the pit and administrative departments.

Requirements

Required:

  • Driver License, current and in good standing.
  • One year of experience performing quality control
  • Complete Testing Certification Class within 1st year of employment

Preferred

  • MSHA Miner Certification
  • Three years’ experience performing quality control
